Developmental Benefit

Flipper Gripper Rattle encourages development of motor skills by encouraging baby’s grasp reflex and prompting baby to follow the rattle first with the eyes, and later with the head and neck. Spinning the ball or spinner encourages the development of fine motor skills by strengthening the fingers and helping in hand and finger dexterity.

Play Tips

* Move the rattle slowly in front of baby, across baby’s field of vision. Remember that baby can only see about 8-12” from his or her face as a newborn. This helps to develop visual tracking. * Gently place the rattle in baby’s hand. He was born with the ability to grasp things. * When baby gets older, show him how to spin the ball or flippers using his whole hand first, and later just his fingers. This helps in the development of hand and finger dexterity.
